With the rise of artificial intelligence for professional use, I wanted to test how much it could streamline the logo design process. The opportunity came up when I was hanging out with my mom, who re-sells clothes online, and she mentioned wanting to refresh her business logo.

Her original design featured a galaxy background with the business name in a stylized font. While visually interesting, it wasn’t easily readable and didn’t clearly communicate the type of business. We talked about elements that could make the brand more recognizable, and she suggested incorporating a hanger alongside the name.
I fed the idea into ChatGPT to brainstorm a visual direction. It generated a few concepts, but struggled with spelling accuracy.

That’s when I shifted over to Canva, where I could merge the AI-generated concepts with precise design execution. We landed on a couple ideas, some for stickers which she now uses on packages, and one design as her profile picture!

Ultimately, I learned that artificial intelligence does offer a creative launch point for a project like this, but human judgement and design skills are still the key for clear details and brand alignment.
